Scipio and Longus mass troops in Cisalpina but Hannibal crosses and wins a no-retreat engagement though a standoff develops at Ariminium. Syracuse joins Carthage early on, and a massive campaign to retake it ensues — with truces, sallies, and a blockade breaking 13 siege rolls are needed before Syracuse falls. Hannibal fights a long-term guerilla warfare campaign in Cisalpina needing 7 straight successful interceptions after Africanus’ arrival. Africanus gives battle to force subjugation of the Insubrians but is then double-enveloped and eliminated by Hannibal. However, an intercepted messenger picks up wind of a Numidian revolt allowing Rome a foothold in Africa for the final turn. With both Carthage and Rome with handfuls of 1s, Mago wins two decisive engagements to seal victory for Carthage.

  17. Our game finished. Very tight struggle. very intereisting game. Won by having a little more luck.
